MICROBES: We CAN’T see them but THEY ARE around us

Our 4rd graders at the secondary school have become straightforward scientists and they decide to catch all the tiny living things, which are around us. As the students said: “there are so many bacteria and fungi in the air we are breathing and in all the stuff we are constantly touching, so we are going to prove it”.

For that reason, we have decided to make them grow in the Lab. We use Petri plaque, in which there are nutrients. In addition, we collect many objects from our surrounding: books, pencils, hands, and even electronic devises. All these objects are a huge microorganisms source, so we have used all of them to catch them and make them grown in the plaque.

Today, we finished the experiment, and now we have to wait to for the results…
